About a Girl...
...(searching for things...that I just can not see...)

Before realizing a dream, the first step is to realize what is it exactly that we want from life. To many times we wander aimlessly without knowing what is it that we really desire. This poem is about one such girl. It is about everyone infact, everyone who is going through the path towards self realization and awareness.

About a girl, a story begins.
Her life it was, caught in a cage.
To break free was what she crazed.
In deep thought she spent all day.
Something was missing in her life.
A dream maybe, some wings to fly.

Khushi na jane kahan chale gaye the.
Anginat parchaiyon main kho gaye the,
Ya, raat ke sitaron main so gaye the.
Pata nahin kya chah rahe the,
Apne aap ko he pehchan rahe the.
Ek sapna, ek manzil talaash rahe the.

(The is the first of a set of two poems...the second is about the same girl..having realized what she wants and now aware of herself...there is no stopping her in her path towards the fulfillment of her dreams...as in Taare Zameen Par...Udne ko Tu Azad hai....bandhan Koi Ab Hai Kahan...!!!)
Ps: ideas, suggestions relating to the theme of the proposed second poem are most welcome!

beautiful premise/initial thought, almost flawless execution man.. It felt like you were trying to rhyme too hard sometimes, which obstructed the flow... but otherwise absolutely brilliant ( this and the rest of the blog as well... specially teri college ki entries... nice)

on a sidenote, baby, what about the promise... kab milega tu and haan shakal mat dikhana without her..

The Comeback Post: "Months of Life" The Delhi Metro finally gave me some respite. It opened in South Delhi and instead of me driving around the Ring Road- DND Route everyday, I was now a true "Metro Man". I had been envious all this while, of people living in East Delhi and West Delhi and North Delhi, as they had something which we, in the south did not have- The Metro! The relief from the driving meant though long hours still in metro. Now the challenge came, to a restless soul like me, on how to pass that 1 hour, sitting alone in the metro. In the underground stretch, the GPRS did not work, so the good old Facebook or Twitter were out. I tried to be constructive initially, taking with me, like a seasoned businessman, a copy of the morning business newspaper. Opening that, always inspired envious glances in the Metro. Thoughts on love... I have been thinking lately, thinking a lot, about things, about people, about love. Triggering the thought process are questions, questions for which there are no definite answers. Questions for which the more you search, the more you find how much less you know. Yes, I am talking about love, the hows and whys of it. The ins and outs of it. The answers though for most of these questions have been elusive.
